About Volleyball Addict
Welcome to VolleyballAddict.com, your one-stop destination for everything related to volleyball. I hope you have been enjoying your visit!
My name is Carlos, or 孙伟 as is more familiar to me, and I am also the founder of VolleyballAddict.com.
My volleyball journey began in junior high school. I have dedicated myself to its pursuit in the past 18 years. Like most people, I have a day job, and I am also a Chinese-American Part-Time volleyball coach in LA.
In the film Cast Away, Wilson the volleyball serves as Chuck Noland’s personified friend and only companion during the four years Noland spends alone on a deserted island. Volleyball is the spirit of Chuck’s life. The spirit of volleyball also speaks to my soul in that way, and I can safely say that playing volleyball is my favorite hobby.
Why Create Volleyball Addict?
A friend encouraged me to combine my coaching experience with my passion for volleyball to create a blog platform where volleyball enthusiasts like myself can gather and grow as volleyballer & athlete.
My hope is that Volleyball Addict, while being a fun and sustainable side project for me, will be a place that draws volleyball enthusiasts the world over.
Here we can feed our volleyball spirits, discuss volleyball knowledge and skills, and build a thriving and professional volleyball community.
I’m building a team of writers, all of whom are volleyball enthusiasts, that write the posts. Of course, Volleyball Addict reviews each article to ensure quality. All the articles must meet a high standard of objectivity, fairness, and originality.
We will only publish high-quality, accurate volleyball content on the blog. It wouldn’t do any of us any good if I didn’t.
I’m so glad you’re here and hope you have been enjoying your visit. My hope is that as we come together, learn, improve, and spread this amazing sport.

My world consists of volleyball, travel, water sports and dogs…sometimes all at the same time! I spent years as a setter in a local volleyball team where I learnt the art of volleyball setting. I’m a bit of a street art fanatic, and my favorite type of adventure usually ends at a volleyball vault.
In 2023, my love of volleyball pushed me to start writing for and building out Volleyballaddict.com, in order to share my passion with the rest of the world.
